RAMOTH-GILEAD (the really bad)

Doesn’t it bunch up your knickers when you read raving reviews or hear fabulous comments about an artist you never heard of and then you find their music online, or better yet, hear them in a live setting and you’re like… meh?

Although I’ve been blessed with these sort of things, this “bio” won’t have any glowing quotes from well respected professionals in the music biz. No list of prestigious awards or fancy magazine write-ups. I get it. And I think you do, too. Bios are like politics. They can say all the wonderful things and get your hopes up, but once it’s time to make good on a promise, the proof is in the pudding. I hate politics. I can do pudding, though. This “bio” is not really a bio. It's an attempt from the artist himself to not toot his own horn too loudly, and, at the same time, convince you I'm the guy for the job.

Here are five reasons why you should book me:

1- I’ve been writing and performing for over twenty years and there’s a good reason I’ve been able to make a living and support my family from music alone. Not being prideful, just telling the truth. God is good. 

2- Different people like different things. Diversity is good, and my styles are many. Most likely, the crazy mix of friends you invite to the house concert you will potentially host (which will feature myself) will resonate with my honest, humorous, and thought-provoking lyrics. My songs are often relatable to folks young, old, and in between.  Questions I get asked frequently are,  “Did you write that song!?!“ and, “Why haven’t you been discovered!?!” or, “What do you call your style of music?” Answer: I can’t call it. I appreciate most genres of music, and being one who has consumed enough blues, pop, rock, funk, hip-hop, jazz, country, and other genres, through listening and performing, I guess I am what I eat. And yes, I did write that song... in most cases.

3- Because you have never heard of me and it’s time for something different. I’d like to give you a full show, but if you’d like, book me as part of a double feature alongside an artist you know and love just this first time. Or don’t! Live a little. Book me for the whole concert. Either way, I love sharing my soul. 

4- I’ve been hiding my light under a bushel for far too long. It’s time for me to start a worldwide wildfire and you can be my accomplice. 

5- You’ve listened to the samples on this website. Admit it. You know you like it! Another thing I hear a lot is, “You’re much better live.” So, go ahead a book me before all my hairs are gray and while I’m still in my prime. None of us are getting any younger.
